Typhoon DASS Test & Verification Engineer
Grade: 5
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Generate test plans to test and verify the Defensive Aid Sub-system (DASS) Mission Data (MD) and create a test report.
Provide the RSAF with the support and knowledge transfer such that and they acquire the skills necessary to independently and indigenously test & verify MD designed and built for the RSAF Typhoon DASS.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The key responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
Review MRS
Review DASS MD specification
Generate DASS MD test procedure
Generate Test scenarios
Run the DASS MD test procedures:
Perform Defensive Aid computer (DAC) & Enhanced Computer Symbol Generator (ECSG) MD Verification.
Perform (Electronic Support Measures (ESM) MD Verification
Perform DAC, ESM and Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) MD Verification
Analyse MAW MD values for compliance against DASS MD specification
Produce DASS test report
Provide Aircrew Briefing Guid (ABG) input to the Operations section
Develop and maintain processes and procedures
Reporting:
Line manager responsibility for reporting staff, including but not limited:
Day to day team leadership and direction.
Team development Personal Development Plans.
SHE leadership and leading by example.
Day to day team management to maximise utilisation, effectiveness and efficiency of the team.
Personnel issues:
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent
Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications with Windows and Internet search
Experience in Typhoon DASS MD T&V
Proficiency in English language
Demonstrate an existing SCE registration or the ability to attain one
