Overview of the job and the company

Join the desserts department team in a distinguished culinary kitchen operating in the Saudi market, where we are committed to offering a range of pastries and cakes using the finest ingredients and providing a luxurious guest experience. We are looking for a talented Cake and Pastry Chef with an artistic sense and leadership in a dynamic, collaborative environment to participate in preparing and designing a distinctive assortment of cakes and pastries at a professional level that meets our high standards and our scope of work in Dammam.

Main responsibilities

  • Prepare, design, and bake luxurious cakes and pastries according to approved recipes and food quality and safety standards.
  • Manage baking and decorating processes precisely to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and final presentation of products.
  • Monitor ingredient stock and ensure essential materials are available, documenting needed orders for daily production.
  • Develop new recipes and implement innovations in presentation and decoration to enhance the brand value.
  • Adhere to food safety and cleanliness procedures according to HACCP systems and local regulatory authority.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the culinary team and coordinate with the sales and planning departments to meet client and event needs.
  • Prepare daily production, cost, and operational risk reports and propose improvements.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Related university degree (Bachelor) with practical experience in the desserts department, preferably in a professional culinary environment.
  • Experience of 3 to 7 years in preparing, baking, and decorating professional cakes and pastries.
  • Location: Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
  • Full-time, with no obligations preventing punctuality and kitchen schedule adherence.

  • Mastery of cake and pastry decoration at a professional level with meticulous attention to detail and refined taste.
  • Innovative and developmental skills with the ability to translate design ideas into tangible, high-quality products.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet event and banquet needs with high accuracy and speed.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, and safe handling of kitchen equipment and ovens.
  • Effective communication and teamwork, coordinating with relevant departments.
