About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time PhD Peer Reviewer for Biodiversity Conservation to support its operations in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable position that offers remote work flexibility.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to conduct thorough peer reviews of academic manuscripts within the field of Biodiversity Conservation. Reviewers will assess the scientific merit, originality, and methodological soundness of submitted works, providing constructive feedback to authors and editors to ensure the quality and integrity of published research.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts, determining their contribution to the field of study.
• Assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of the study design and methodologies employed, ensuring reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant and up-to-date literature.
• Analyze the presentation of results, ensuring clarity and appropriateness, and confirm that conclusions are data-supported and significant.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, potential improvements, and any ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations to the journal editor regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection based on the evaluation.

Required Qualifications

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field of Biodiversity Conservation.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field.
• A publication record of at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
