Main responsibilities and duties

  • Reception of patients and providing safe and appropriate pharmaceutical counseling according to approved guidelines.
  • Accurate preparation and filling of prescriptions and ensuring they match the licensing and medical instructions.
  • Management of pharmaceutical inventory, monitoring drug expiration dates, and organizing shelves and display methods in a coordinated and safe manner.
  • Coordination with healthcare providers and care teams to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Contributing to pharmacovigilance services and reporting any drug interactions or side effects according to approved policies.
  • Providing periodic performance and quality reports and documenting all activities according to department procedures.
  • Participation in health education activities and patient awareness using clear and simplified educational materials.

 

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university.
  • Licensure or provisional acceptance for professional registration with the Saudi Pharmacist Sector Authority (if available).
  • Interest in continuous learning and desire for professional development in clinical pharmacy and community services.
  • Strong communication skills in Arabic, with preference for proficiency in technical English.
  • Ability to work in a team and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
  • Compliance with working requirements in the healthcare sector including safety and drug policies.

 

Required skills

  • High accuracy and attention to detail in reading prescriptions and preparing medications.
  • Effective communication skills with patients, colleagues, and medical supervision.
  • Time management and efficient organization of tasks within shifts.
  • Basic understanding of pharmacy forms, reports, and medical documentation.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining service quality.
