Roles & Responsibilities
Core Job Responsibilities:
Manage and drive the development of their territory through the promotion of new and existing products, with all relevant marketing activities such as product presentations and competitor blunting information.
Carry out sales calls, targeting high sales areas for maximum efficiency.
Implementation of the Go to Market strategy aligned with the regional and global approach appropriately to the country s specific objectives
Build, maintain and expand strong partnerships with target accounts via consultative selling approach to KOLs
Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on the application of company products and services to customer requirements.
Cooperate closely with distributor sales teams to develop and execute effective local sales strategies by customer segment.
Support distribution partners in the sale of products, including training, sales meetings, technical expertise and marketing support.
Provide forecasts, business reports and action plans as required on a timely basis, re-evaluating on a regular basis performance against forecast and budget.
Accurate and reliable demand planning and forecasting based on customer/distributor commitments.
Collect and maintain up-to-date market intelligence (competition, prices, tenders) and customer-related feedback.
Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with company image, ensuring activities stay in line with legal and ethical standards.
Knowledge / Education Required:
Minimum Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years experience in healthcare sales, preferably in the diagnostics/POC field
Familiarity of the healthcare industry and private healthcare providers for the given territory
Relation with the key customers in the field is a plus.
Minimum Skills Required:
Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with CRM systems preferred.
Ability to multitask and set priorities effectively.
Personal Characteristics:
Aggressive appetite for success, willing to take on stretch targets
Good communication and presentation skills
Positive attitude, team player with a high level of initiative, energy and enthusiasm
Driven by objectives, solutions and adhering to deadlines
Accountability and ownership attitude
Ability to travel to remote cities.
