About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Rendering Plant Manager to lead and oversee rendering operations within our poultry processing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day plant operations, ensuring compliance with food safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, optimizing production efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across the rendering process.

This role requires strong operational leadership, technical expertise in rendering systems, and a hands‑on approach to safety, quality, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all rendering plant operations, including raw material handling, processing, and by‑product output
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, food safety standards, and animal by‑product regulations
• Lead, train, and develop plant supervisors and production teams to achieve performance, safety, and quality targets
• Monitor production efficiency, yields, downtime, and operating costs; implement improvement initiatives
• Coordinate maintenance planning to ensure optimal equipment reliability and minimal production interruptions
• Maintain high standards of workplace safety and ensure adherence to company HSE policies
• Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, and live/processing plant teams to ensure seamless operations
• Prepare and manage operational budgets, reports, KPIs, and performance metrics
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, energy usage, waste reduction, and cost optimization

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Food Science (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rendering operations, preferably within a poultry or meat processing environment
• Proven experience managing plant operations and leading production teams
• Strong knowledge of rendering processes, equipment, and by‑product handling
• Solid understanding of environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in KPI tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies
