Overview:The Sr. Bid Management Expert is responsible for leading the most strategic and high-value bids, shaping win strategies, and ensuring full alignment across pricing, risk, and executive stakeholders. This role plays a pivotal part in securing complex deals by driving structured bid governance, orchestrating cross-functional teams, and ensuring proposals are commercially competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives. The position requires deep expertise in bid management, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to influence senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end bid management for large, complex, and strategic opportunities Define and drive win strategies, including competitive positioning, value proposition, and deal shaping Own and oversee pricing strategy, ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and alignment with financial targets Establish and enforce risk frameworks, identifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial, financial, and delivery risks Drive executive alignment and governance across all bid stages, including reviews, approvals, and sign-offs Orchestrate cross-functional teams (sales, presales, finance, legal, delivery) to ensure cohesive bid execution Ensure all proposals are compliant with client requirements, internal policies, and regulatory standards Oversee the development of high-quality, compelling proposals and presentations for executive-level audiences Lead bid planning, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and high-quality submissions Engage with clients (as needed) to clarify requirements, position solutions, and strengthen bid competitiveness Analyze competitor strategies, market dynamics, and client expectations to refine bid approaches Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in bid processes, tools, and governance
Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. Experience:10–14 years of experience in bid management, commercial management, or proposal leadership roles Proven track record of leading large, complex, and high-value bids in competitive environments Strong experience in pricing strategy, deal structuring, and commercial negotiations Experience in industries such as technology, consulting, system integration, or large-scale services preferred Exposure to executive-level stakeholder engagement and governance processes
Skills & Competencies:Advanced proficiency in Excel (pricing models, financial analysis) Experience with bid management and CRM tools Strong understanding of procurement processes (RFP/RFQ/RFI) Familiarity with contract terms, legal considerations, and compliance requirements Strategic bid leadership and win strategy development Advanced pricing strategy and financial modeling Risk management and governance framework Executive stakeholder management and influencing Proposal development and executive storytelling
