Role & responsibilities
SCOPE OF WORK (EQUIPMENT COVERAGE)
The mechanic will be responsible for maintenance and repair of, but not limited to:
- Overhead cranes & hoists
- Mobile cranes
- Forklifts (diesel, LPG, electric)
- Combilifts / side loaders
- Air compressors (screw & piston)
- Diesel generators
- Supporting utility systems (fuel systems, hydraulics, basic electrical)
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedules and OEM recommendations
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults
- Conduct safety inspections on lifting and mobile equipment
- Respond to breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime
- Coordinate with operations to maintain production continuity
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and reports
- Assist in equipment commissioning and shutdowns
- Ensure compliance with HSE and lifting equipment safety standards
TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Mandatory:
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals
- Preventive maintenance experience
- Fault diagnosis skills
Preferred:
- Basic electrical troubleshooting
- Welding or fabrication repair skills
- OEM training certificates
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum Education:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years experience in an industrial or fabrication environment
- Hands-on experience with cranes, forklifts, generators, and compressors

- Independent and proactive
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and reporting
- Willing to work overtime and emergency call-outs
