Roles & Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all grade control and sampling activities in the pit, underground, and ROM stockpiles.
Ensure accurate geological mapping, ore spotting, and dig block definition aligned with mining plans.
Maintain high standards of data quality, sample representativity, and assay QA/QC control.
Support daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation processes between mine, ROM, and processing plant.
Monitor ore boundaries and dilution to ensure optimal feed quality and minimize ore loss.
Review and update 3D geological models and digital dig polygons in collaboration with resource and planning teams.
Lead training and mentoring of junior geologists and technicians to strengthen technical capability and operational discipline.
Promote and enforce safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards across geology field operations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement in grade control, sampling, and data management systems.
Liaise daily with mining and processing teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on ore delivery targets.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
Master s degree preferred but not essential.
Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams in complex mining operations.
Minimum Experience:
6 8 years of relevant experience in open-pit and/or underground mine geology and grade control, preferably in gold operations.
Experience with RC and blast hole sampling, reconciliation workflows, and digital geological mapping systems.
