Roles & Responsibilities

• Develops and establishes quality standards, procedures and systems for inspecting plans, quality trends, statistical plan price estimates and technical quality proposal plans.

• Performs inspections as per the approved ITP (Inspection Test Plan)

• Coordinates with NDT to perform DE/NDE

• Performs non-destructive testing methods like PT / MT etc.

• Prepares job specific Inspection & Test Plan

• Supervises site inspections, testing activities, project construction and commissioning activities and performs independent surveillance inspections

• Ensures that all work follows the approved method statements and drawings.

• Supports project team in reviewing project documents

• Prepares QA/QC Organogram and nominates personnels for client’s approval

• Manages inspection activities in all phases of project shutdown or fabrication work

• Reviews and prepares procurement, construction and commissioning related QA/QC documents

• Discusses and follows up with contractors/vendors for timely submission and approval of QA/QC documents

• Maintains record of templates including QA/QC dossier, test packs and MRBs and ensures their effective implementation

• Creates and archives documentation to maintain databases and for quality certifications.

• Maintains records for qualified welders (WQTR), procedure qualification records (PQR) and welding procedure specifications (WPS)

• Ensure on-time processing of non-conforming component.

• Prepares & issues WPS, Weld Map and job specific procedures.

• Verifies welding consumables and calibrates monitoring and measuring devices and process equipment.

• Coordinating with customers to clear designated inspection points at ITPs.

• Informs Sr. QC Engineer / In charge QA/QC about quality related issues within their scope of work.
