MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To ensure compliance with quality standards for warehouse-received materials and vendor-supplied equipment, supporting safe and efficient operations of the Jazan IGCC complex.

JOB OBJECTIVES


  • Inspection and quality assurance: To conduct incoming material inspections for warehouse-received items to ensure compliance with approved ITPs, project specifications, purchase orders, and applicable international standards prior to acceptance.
  • Compliance with codes, standards, and regulations: To ensure material compliance, identification, traceability, and proper handling within warehouse facilities, including segregation and disposition of nonconforming items, in accordance with approved documentation and operating procedures by complying with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
  • Vendor Quality Assurance: To perform vendor shop inspections and surveillance in accordance with approved ITPs, ensuring compliance with quality plans, welding and testing procedures, and witnessing critical fabrication and testing activities.
  • Problem identification and resolution: To identify and document defects, deviations, or potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  •  Documentation and reporting: To ensure effective quality assurance and control by managing SAP quality processes (inspection lots, QNs, NCRs, and deviations), overseeing issuance and governance of material release documentation, and verifying NDT activities and reports comply with applicable standards and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams: To collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Vendors, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to resolve quality issues and support timely material availability.
  • Safety and risk management: To ensure adherence to safety protocols and actively contribute to risk management strategies.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives: To support continuous improvement initiatives related to material quality, vendor performance, audit compliance, and SAP data accuracy 


Job Related Work Experience


8 - 10 Years of Work experience in QA/QC roles with strong exposure to warehouse quality control, incoming materials inspection, and vendor inspection in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant or Operating Company environments. - Essential

Experience working under operating plant quality systems such as JIGPC, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or equivalent. - Preferred


Formal Qualifications/Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy / Materials Engineering - Essential


CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - Preferred

ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor - Preferred

NDT Level II certification in UT / RT / PT / MT - Preferred

Working knowledge of SAP modules - Preferred

  • Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, ISO, and EN standards - Advanced
  • Solid background in materials engineering, metallurgy, welding, coating and NDT - Proficient
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment and processes used in gasification and power production - Proficient
  • Demonstrated capability in audit-driven, compliance-focused QA/QC environments - Proficient
  • Solid attention to detail for identifying defects and deviations - Advanced
