Job Purpose:To identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory, focusing on acquiring new customers, expanding market presence, and supporting sales targets through proactive prospecting and lead generation. Accountabilities:Conduct market research to identify potential customers and business opportunities within the assigned territory, supporting the company’s growth objectives. Engage in direct outreach, including cold calling, networking, and in-person visits, to generate leads and build a pipeline of prospective clients. Qualify leads based on customer needs and buying potential, ensuring alignment with company products and service offerings. Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager and sales team to develop tailored approaches for engaging prospects and converting leads into customers. Track prospecting activities, leads, and customer interactions in CRM software, ensuring accurate data for sales forecasting and reporting. Prepare and deliver introductory presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, effectively communicating value propositions. Assist in organizing and attending local trade shows, networking events, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and generate new leads. Provide regular updates on prospecting progress, market trends, and competitor activity to the Area Sales Manager, supporting strategy adjustments.
Qualifications:Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably within the FMCG or consumer goods industry.
Skills and Attributes:Proficiency with CRM software and lead tracking tools. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; familiarity with prospecting and cold outreach techniques is advantageous
