The Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts based on engineering specifications, sketches, and project requirements. This role ensures accuracy, clarity, and compliance with relevant standards, supporting the engineering and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.

· Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.

· Interpret engineering sketches, conceptual designs, and specifications into accurate technical drawings.

· Prepare layouts, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings for construction or manufacturing.

· Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, or project managers.

· Maintain and update drawing records, documentation, and revision logs.

· Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, codes, and project requirements.

· Coordinate with project teams to clarify design issues and resolve conflicts.

· Assist in preparing as-built drawings after project completion.

· Work closely with engineers to ensure drawings reflect technical feasibility.

· Support in preparing material take-offs or quantity estimates when required.

Education

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field.

Experience

· Proven experience as a Draftsman (typically 1–3 years or more depending on role).

· Experience in the relevant industry (e.g., construction, MEP, architectural, industrial) is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.

· Strong understanding of technical drafting standards and industry codes.

· Basic knowledge of engineering principles (civil, architectural, mechanical, or electrical based on role).

· High attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong organizational and document-control skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Good communication and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

· Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) – AutoCAD or Revit

· Technical Drafting Certification

· BIM knowledge/certification (for architectural or MEP roles)
