Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage the estimation team in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects.

  2. Review tender documents including drawings, BOQ, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.

  3. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and project teams to gather technical and commercial inputs for tenders.

  4. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and review estimates prepared by estimators and quantity surveyors.

  5. Manage the full tender process including bid preparation, pricing strategy, and submission within deadlines.

  6. Review supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.

  7. Monitor market trends, material prices, labor costs, and equipment rates to maintain updated cost data.

  8. Identify project risks during the tender stage and develop mitigation strategies to protect project margins.

  9. Ensure all estimation packages are reviewed and submitted with proper documentation and technical compliance.

  10. Work closely with senior management to finalize pricing and commercial strategy for major bids.

  11. Support project teams during project handover and participate in kickoff meetings after award.

  12. Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders during the tender stage.

  13. Ensure estimation procedures, standards, and company policies are followed across all bids.

  14. Drive continuous improvement in estimation methods, tools, and cost databases.
