Job Summary

The DCS Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the Distributed Control System (DCS) and related automation systems to ensure reliable monitoring and control of plant operations. The role ensures that control systems operate efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.

Skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS hardware and software.
  • Monitor system alarms, signals, and control loops.
  • Support control room operators during system faults and process abnormalities.
  • Coordinate with instrumentation technicians to verify signals from field instruments.
  • Maintain system logs and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and control system standards.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Automation with 3–5 years experience in DCS systems in industrial plants.
