Job Overview

A leading industrial solutions provider in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical design, system integration, and engineering support for industrial equipment, diesel generator systems, and packaged mechanical units. This is a design-focused role requiring advanced technical capability, ownership, and the ability to lead design processes from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complete mechanical designs for industrial equipment, diesel generator systems, and packaged units

• Lead full system integration designs including fuel systems, exhaust systems, cooling loops, and ventilation setups

• Prepare detailed 2D/3D engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation

• Perform design calculations, material selection, and validation of mechanical components

• Lead design review meetings and act as the main technical authority during design stages

• Provide design clarifications and technical responses to consultants and project stakeholders

• Approve final design submissions and ensure alignment with project specifications

• Coordinate with fabrication, production, electrical, projects, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and execution

• Support product improvement, customization, and new development initiatives

• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company design procedures

Skills

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience in mechanical design within industrial or manufacturing environments

• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, AutoCAD

• Background in diesel engines, generators, heavy equipment, or industrial packaged mechanical systems (advantageous)

• Experience working on large-capacity gensets (especially above 2000 kW) is highly preferred

• Proven ability to lead mechanical design projects from concept to commissioning

• Experience approving design submissions and coordinating with consultants

• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality, technically accurate outputs

• Strong communication and documentation skills
