JOB SCOPE
Plan, design and install data communication hardware and related software applications and provide professional and technical support for the design and execution of projects pertaining to communication systems. Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Perform network modelling, analysis, and planning in compliance with strategies and operational priorities.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Create and redesign broad technical infrastructure and information systems that define how servers, networks and storage systems work together to support the needs of the organization. Ensure stability and scalability, anticipating capacity growth through careful planning.
2. Provide technical advice and guidance to various stake holders including end users, management and vendors explain complex concepts and provide IT solutions in clear manner.
3. Effectively manage Capacity Planning and Availability management. Design, install and maintain the company's IT infrastructure. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve network or communication issues and problems.
4. Provide expert advice in formulating communications policies, processes and procedures and ensure compliance to the same.
5. Review and recommend blueprints and oversee the installation of communication hardware and software as per the planned schedule to support YASREF's core business.
6. Monitor and evaluate contractors' activities to ensure the work is carried out in accordance with YASREF's requirements and operating procedures.
7. Lead the data communication hardware and software planning and development to support the Company's Core Business.
8. Recommend communication plans and infrastructure in accordance with business requirements. Monitor the inventory for End of Life and End of Support systems.
9. Develop and recommend network design for new POPs, data centers, transport circuits and WDM Systems world-wide.
10. Review all necessary testing and quality assurance activities and make recommendations and amendments as necessary.
11. Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies, procedures and regulations towards a healthy and safe work environment.
12. Document network configurations, generate report on network performance or issues. Research new technologies and network solutions and prepare proposals for the discussion of senior reporting hierarchy.
13. Establish plans for upgrade of network equipment and bandwidth optimization. Maintain structured cabling and ensure effective layout of all cables as per industry standards.
14. Monitor and supervise all maintenance and enhancement activities. Monitor the performance of the communication systems and network, conduct regular system tests and make necessary upgrades to improve performance and security.
15. Ensure compliance to all Cyber security guidelines and procedures with regards to change control, security and auditing, release, configuration, problem and incident management.
16. Monitor daily operational activities to ensure smooth progress. Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
17. Provide regular updates to the Senior Management. Provide end user trainings on system and procedures as needed.
18. Establish plan and ensure strict adherence from the team for a successful delivery of the projects within the agreed timelines.
19. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Years of relevant work experience: Five (05) years of relevant experience.
Certification/License (Optional): Professional certification in either of Data Analytics, Data Security, Information System solution architect, IT network, IT audit or equivalent.
