As the Technical Health Specialist, you will be the trusted technical authority for shrimp and marine fish customers, supporting health performance from hatchery to grow‑out. You will help drive the next generation of Nutreco’s health and functional feed solutions, directly influencing customer success and regional business growth.
What you’ll do:
- Own technical and health support for shrimp and marine fish customers across the Middle East
- Act as a strategic technical partner to key accounts, working closely with Key Account Managers to support our customers
- Drive customer adoption of next‑generation health diets and functional feed solutions from Nutreco’s “Garden of the Future” portfolio
- Diagnose health and production challenges and deliver practical, farm‑ready solutions that improve performance and profitability
- Lead technical trainings, workshops, and customer meetings, building long‑term capability and trust
- Actively support and accelerate the growth of the shrimp business in the Middle East, owning your technical impact in the region.
What You Bring
- MSc or PhD in Veterinary Science, Aquatic Animal Health, Fisheries science or a related scientific discipline.
- Expertise in aquatic animal health, pathology, nutrition–health interactions, and aquatic microbiology/immunology
- Proven experience with shrimp and marine fish species in marine aquatic production.
- Understanding of warm‑water and high‑salinity production systems, relevant to the Middle East
- Familiarity with functional feeds and health additives (probiotics, immunostimulants, organic acids)
- Strong advisory mindset with the ability to influence farmers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage
- Willing and able to travel approximately 15–20% of the time.
