The Quality & Hygiene Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the hotel’s quality assurance, food safety, and hygiene standards in line with 5-star hospitality requirements, brand standards, and Saudi regulatory guidelines. The role ensures exceptional guest experience, compliance with health regulations, and the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational excellence, particularly critical in the Hajj and Umrah environment.

1. Hygiene & Food Safety Management

• Implement and oversee food safety systems (HACCP / ISO standards).
• Ensure compliance with SFDA and local municipality hygiene regulations.
• Conduct hygiene inspections in kitchens, restaurants, storage areas, and staff facilities.
• Monitor sanitation procedures, pest control, and waste management practices.
• Investigate hygiene-related incidents and implement corrective actions.

2. Health & Sanitation Standards

• Ensure hotel-wide adherence to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and F&B teams on hygiene best practices.
• Monitor cleaning chemicals, usage, and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and public health guidelines.

3. Training & Awareness

• Design and deliver hygiene and quality training programs for employees.
• Conduct regular awareness sessions on food safety, personal hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Train new employees on hygiene and quality protocols.
• Promote a culture of quality and hygiene excellence.

4. Audits & Inspections

• Prepare the hotel for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities and certification bodies.
• Lead corrective action plans following inspections.
• Monitor continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

• Professional certifications preferred (HACCP, ISO 22000, Food Safety, Quality Management).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality or hygiene management within a luxury / 5-star hotel.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations in KSA.
• Experience in high-volume operations (Hajj & Umrah exposure highly preferred).
• Strong auditing, inspection, and analytical skills.
