HSE Specialist – Electrical Transmission & Substation Projects

We are recruiting on behalf of a major Engineering Consultancy Company supporting a large-scale Electrical Transmission and Substation Programme in Riyadh.
The project involves high-voltage infrastructure works including:
• 132k V / 220k V / 380k V substations• Transmission line construction (overhead lines)• Transformer installation• Switchyard construction• Underground HV cable systems
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor HSE policies in line with SEC and project standards• Conduct risk assessments for substation and transmission line activities• Monitor safety compliance during:– Transformer installation– Steel structure erection– Overhead transmission line works– Cable trenching and HV cable installation• Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions• Perform regular site inspections and safety audits• Ensure contractor compliance with approved HSE plans and method statements• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports• Promote a proactive safety culture across the project Requirements
• B. S. in Engineering or equivalent qualification• Minimum 3 years’ relevant HSE experience• Experience in construction, substation or transmission line projects preferred• Industry certification from an internationally recognised body (NEBOSH, OSHA or equivalent) acceptable to SEC• Knowledge of high-voltage construction safety practices• Strong understanding of local HSE regulations• Good reporting and communication skills
