Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and strategic Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Al Damam, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate reconciliations and payments.
- Coordinate external audits, statutory filings, and tax compliance (VAT and other relevant taxes) in collaboration with tax advisors and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Lead monthly close processes, perform variance analysis, and provide insightful commentary to senior management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning; assist in cost analysis and profitability assessments.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial guidance, assist in decision-making, and support strategic initiatives.
- Perform cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury-related activities as required.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to full-spectrum financial operations.
- Solid knowledge of Saudi financial reporting standards and VAT requirements; experience with IFRS is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, modeling).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus; ability to present complex data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Saudi national or eligible to work in Saudi Arabia with valid work permit; willingness to relocate to Al Damam if applicable.
