Job Purpose The Vice President of Sustainability is responsible for leading and implementing ESG, decarbonization, built environment, and sustainable energy strategies across KSIADC. The role ensures alignment with corporate strategy, regulatory requirements, and global sustainability standards while driving measurable environmental and operational impact across airport operations, construction projects, and airport city developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement the Sustainability strategic and operational plans aligned with KSIADC objectives. Define sustainability KPIs and monitor performance against targets. Ensure integration of sustainability initiatives across all business and operational areas.
Budget Management
Develop and manage the annual Sustainability budget in line with approved plans. Monitor budget utilization and report on performance, risks, and financial impact. Identify initiatives that deliver cost optimization and long-term value.
ESG and Decarbonization
Lead ESG and decarbonization frameworks, roadmaps, and reporting in line with regulatory and international standards. Establish emissions baselines, data collection systems, and monitoring mechanisms. Drive implementation of decarbonization initiatives across construction, airport operations, and airport city assets. Prepare and oversee ESG disclosures and sustainability reports.
Built Environment
Embed sustainable design, construction, and operational practices across all built environment assets. Ensure compliance with green building standards, environmental regulations, and sustainability certifications. Oversee waste management, water conservation, and low-impact materials strategies.
Sustainable Energy Solutions
Develop and implement renewable energy and energy efficiency strategies. Lead energy audits, performance monitoring, and energy management systems. Drive adoption of low-carbon technologies, electrification, and sustainable mobility solutions.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
Establish and maintain sustainability policies, processes, and governance frameworks. Ensure consistency with best practices, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management
Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, regulators, partners, and external entities. Represent KSIADC in sustainability forums, initiatives, and industry platforms. Communicate progress, insights, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
People Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sustainability team. Drive engagement, capability development, and performance management. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and sustainability leadership.
Knowledge & Experience
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership or managerial role. Strong background in ESG, sustainability, decarbonization, built environment, or energy within large-scale infrastructure or aviation environments. Proven experience in strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and governance.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree and professional certifications (e.g. LEED, ISO 14001, GRI, CDP, ESG-related certifications) are preferred.
