Your role The Steam Service Engineer will support operations across Saudi Arabia, delivering expert service, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of steam boilers, ensuring safe operations for shutdowns, petrochemical clients, refineries, and major utility projects. The role exists due to a documented shortage of qualified steam operators in the region and increasing customer demand. Key Responsibilities 1. Service & Technical Execution Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain steam boilers, burners, feedwater systems, condensate piping, and control systems. Execute planned and corrective maintenance according to OEM and Atlas Copco standards. Perform mandatory on‑site risk assessments and report unsafe conditions or near‑misses immediately. Support statutory inspections per Saudi regulatory requirements (SGS, Lloyds, Apave, etc.). Ensure accurate operation of boiler safety logic (BON/BOFF/PSH/WP parameters). 2. Customer Interaction Act as primary technical expert at customer sites, including refineries, petrochemical complexes (e.g., Jubail, Yanbu), and mega projects. Provide operational guidance and training to customer operators. 3. Operational Reporting Complete service reports, commissioning sheets, and timesheets accurately and submit daily to the Service Manager. 4. Tools, Assets & Safety Maintain service vehicle, tools, PPE, and diagnostic devices in optimal working condition. Follow Atlas Copco and Saudi customer site safety procedures rigorously. 5. Regional Deployment (Saudi Focus) Support operations across Eastern Province, Riyadh, and Western Region, especially during shutdowns and peak seasonal demand. May be deployed to GCC if required, but primary responsibility remains Saudi Arabia. (Regional shortage and multi‑country support referenced in hiring rationale) To succeed, you will need Required Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Thermal, or Industrial Engineering. 3–5 years’ experience working with steam boilers, burners, or industrial thermal systems. Strong knowledge of steam generation, water quality, and pipe sizing best practices. Understanding of Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and refinery safety requirements is preferred. Competencies Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities. High safety awareness and procedural discipline. Excellent communication and customer‑service mindset. Ability to work independently in remote or high‑pressure industrial environments. Travel Requirements Regular travel across Saudi Arabia, especially to customer sites in the Eastern Province, refineries, and shutdown projects.
