Your day involves being part of the AGT KSA & Middle East Field Service Team, where you handle installation and commissioning, preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as Mods & Ups activities both onshore and offshore for Siemens Energy equipment on customer Power Generation and Oil & Gas assets.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform complex and specialized tasks on Industrial Application Gas Turbines, including major overhauls, new installations, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct repairs or modifications in line with Siemens Energy work procedures, ensuring adherence to company standards and guidelines.
- Complete documentation for all installations, inspections, maintenance, repair work, and failure analyses while providing detailed feedback on problem evaluation and resolution.
- Develop detailed outage plans and effectively execute and supervise planned outages at Gas Turbine sites, including equipment assessments and the application of repair or improvement measures as per Siemens standards.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and respond to service calls while actively participating in quality, environmental, health, and safety (QEHS) initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of packaged and ancillary equipment, work safely in compliance with company procedures, and participate in product training programs to enhance or maintain role competency. Experience managing multicultural teams and mentoring junior team members is also required.
What You Bring
- Hold a degree in I&C, Electrical, Electromechanical, or equivalent education, or have vocational qualifications in electrical and/or control systems with at least 7-9 years of relevant engineering experience or in a similar role as a Controls Lead Engineer on Aero-Derivative Gas Turbines.
- Possess a strong background in rotating equipment and hands-on experience with control systems for Siemens Gas Turbines such as SGT-A35 (RB211), AVON, SGT-A05, SGT-400, and MGT-600, with a solid understanding of turbines used in the Oil & Gas industry, including Siemens, RWG, and GE.
- Proficiency in various control platforms, including Allen Bradley, GE, Bentley Nevada, Siemens, Woodward, ADRE, Gem80, Detronics Fire and Gas, HMI, and panel-based electrical systems, with the ability to interpret piping and installation drawings, engineering schematics, and control diagrams. Knowledge of PSC7, Advent, FT125, and T3000 control systems is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience with industrial gas turbines (SGT-A05, SGT-A35, SGT-400, MGT-600) in tasks such as unit start-up support, auxiliary and lube oil systems, compressor drivers, gearboxes, final tuning, rotating equipment field alignment, cold and hot commissioning, MODs and upgrades, and burner replacement.
- Must be willing to travel extensively (up to 70% domestically and internationally), including short-notice mobilizations and extended periods away from home, including weekends. Ability to hold or obtain offshore working certificates and possession of a valid passport and driving license are required.
- Excellent professional English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle complex discussions with customers to protect company interests. Strong customer focus with experience using Virtual, RDS, and related tools. Cross-product knowledge (SGT/TCP/AGT) and cross-skilling in AGT mechanical works are an added advantage.
