The Diving Manager is responsible for the overall management, safety, and performance of JABA’s diving operations. This role ensures compliance with international diving standards and local regulations while delivering high-quality diving experiences. The Diving Manager oversees operational planning, team leadership, equipment readiness, client satisfaction, and commercial performance, supporting JABA’s positioning as a premium diving and marine services provider.
Key Responsibility
Diving Operations Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee all diving operations, including recreational, training, and commercial diving activities.
- Ensure all dives are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved dive plans.
- Manage daily operational schedules, dive rosters, and site logistics.
- Coordinate boat operations, dive sites, and weather-related planning.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with international diving standards (PADI, SSI, CMAS, IMCA as applicable) and Saudi regulations.
- Develop, implement, and enforce diving safety procedures, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular safety briefings, drills, and incident investigations.
- Maintain all operational documentation, permits, and certifications.
Team Leadership & Training:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor dive instructors, dive masters, and support staff.
- Ensure all diving personnel hold valid certifications, medical clearances, and required licenses.
- Identify training needs and arrange internal or external training programs.
- Foster a strong safety culture and high-performance team environment.
Equipment & Asset Management:
- Oversee inspection, maintenance, and servicing of all diving equipment, compressors, boats, and related assets.
- Ensure equipment logs, service records, and inventory are accurately maintained.
- Coordinate procurement and replacement of diving gear and safety equipment.
Client Experience & Service Quality:
- Ensure exceptional customer experience for all diving clients and partners.
- Handle client briefings, special requirements, and feedback professionally.
- Resolve operational issues or client complaints promptly and effectively.
Operational Planning & Budget Control:
- Prepare operational budgets for diving activities, equipment, and manpower.
- Monitor costs, optimize resource utilization, and control operational expenses.
- Support pricing strategies and operational feasibility for new diving programs or projects.
Stakeholder & Partner Coordination:
- Coordinate with marine authorities, coast guards, project partners, and certification bodies.
- Liaise with hotels, resorts, tour operators, and project stakeholders as required.
- Represent JABA in inspections, audits, and industry engagements.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Prepare operational, safety, and performance reports for management.
- Track KPIs related to safety, utilization, customer satisfaction, and revenue.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and service enhancement.
RequirementsQualifications and Experience:
‒ Bachelor’s degree in Marine Studies, Sports Management, or related field (preferred).
‒ Minimum 5–8 years of professional diving experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
‒ Certified Dive Instructor (PADI/SSI/CMAS or equivalent).
‒ Valid First Aid, CPR, Oxygen Provider, and Emergency Response certifications.
‒ Commercial diving or IMCA certification is an advantage (if applicable to operations).
