Job Summary The Product Subject Matter Expert (SME) – CASA & TD is responsible for providing deep domain and functional expertise across deposit products, including Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, and Term Deposits.
The role supports product design, lifecycle management, operations, compliance, and system implementation to ensure competitive, compliant, and customer-centric deposit products.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Expertise & Ownership Act as the subject matter expert for CASA and Term Deposit products, covering features, pricing, interest computation, fees, eligibility, and lifecycle management Provide expert guidance on product structures, customer journeys, and end-to-end processes Support product managers in product enhancements, launches, and rationalization initiatives Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Branch teams Translate business requirements into functional specifications and support system configuration and testing Serve as the key escalation point for complex product, system, or process issues Compliance & Regulatory Alignment Ensure CASA and TD products comply with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and audit requirements Support regulatory reporting, audits, and inspections related to deposit products Monitor changes in regulations and assess impact on existing products Product Lifecycle & Change Management Support end-to-end product lifecycle including onboarding, account opening, servicing, renewals, closures, and exception handling Lead or support change initiatives such as interest rate changes, product rule updates, system upgrades, and new feature rollouts Conduct impact analysis and operational readiness for product changes Performance & Insights Analyze product performance, balances, profitability, customer behavior, and attrition trends Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and deposit growth Support preparation of MIS, dashboards, and management reporting Training & Knowledge Enablement Act as a knowledge resource for internal teams on CASA and TD product features and processes Support development of SOPs, product notes, FAQs, and training materials Conduct product training sessions for branches, call centers, and support teams Key Skills & Competencies Strong domain expertise in CASA and Term Deposit products In-depth understanding of interest calculation, fee structures, and deposit regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into executable product rules Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field 5–8+ years of experience in retail banking products, deposits, or branch operations Hands-on experience with core banking systems and deposit platforms Preferred Experience Experience supporting multi-channel account opening (branch, digital, assisted) Exposure to regulatory audits and compliance reviews Experience in product migration, system upgrades, or core banking transformations
