Job description Sr. Business Systems Analyst – Oil & Gas Safety Focus
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in Safety, to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing business needs and developing data-driven solutions to support the organization’s safety goals and objectives. 1. Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive data management strategies to support safety objectives. Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports to track safety performance, uncover trends, and identify improvement opportunities. Lead data collection, storage, analysis, and quality control processes to ensure accurate and consistent safety metrics. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members. Work closely with IT to define system requirements, develop and test new software/systems, and support end-user adoption. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to safety data management and reporting.
2. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 10 years of business analysis experience, preferably within Oil & Gas and Safety. Strong expertise in business analysis principles, data analysis, and reporting. Proficient in data management including collection, storage, and analysis. Skilled in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Knowledge of machine learning, AI, predictive analytics, and data mining techniques. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Certification such as CBAP or CMC preferred. Experience with cloud-based business analysis tools is a plus.
