Job Summary
The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems within tissue paper manufacturing operations. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of tissue machines, converting lines, utilities, and auxiliary systems to support continuous production.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems for tissue machines, rewinding and converting lines, and utility equipment
- Handle PLC, DCS, VFDs, motors, MCCs, sensors, transmitters, and control panels
- Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to minimize plant downtime
- Support commissioning, shutdowns, upgrades, and plant improvement projects
- Calibrate and maintain process instrumentation such as pressure, flow, level, and temperature instruments
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, plant procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with production, mechanical, and maintenance teams for smooth mill operations
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and spare parts requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelorâs degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
- 4 + years of experience in electrical & instrumentation maintenance, preferably in tissue paper, pulp & paper, or continuous process industries
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, DCS, VFDs, and industrial automation systems
- Knowledge of tissue machine operations, utilities, and safety practices

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems
- Understanding of preventive maintenance systems
- Ability to work in shift-based and plant environments
