Role Overview
The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving technical sales growth by delivering high-value completion solutions to customers in Saudi Arabia. The role combines deep completions expertise with strong commercial acumen to identify, qualify, and close opportunities while supporting long-term customer relationships.
The position operates with a high level of independence and works closely with Sales, Operations, and Technical Services to ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially competitive, and operationally executable.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive sales growth by identifying, qualifying, prioritizing, and closing completion opportunities across assigned accounts
• Present integrated, value-driven completion solutions while clearly articulating technology differentiators
• Develop a strong understanding of customer field operations, well objectives, and completion challenges
• Actively manage the opportunity pipeline, including pricing awareness, competitor activity, and market trends
• Lead the introduction of new technologies and follow up with end users to ensure effective evaluation and adoption
• Independently deliver technical presentations, workshops, and solution reviews to customer technical and operational teams
• Coordinate technical workshops and field trials with customer assets and internal technical teams
• Develop and submit high-quality technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs
• Support CWOP and FWOP meetings in coordination with Operations and Technical Services teams
• Ensure effective pre-job planning, client briefings, and operational readiness for all assigned projects
• Review End-of-Well Reports (EOWRs) and ensure lessons learned are captured and applied to future operations
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key end users and decision-makers
• Address customer issues professionally and proactively to maintain high service quality standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline information within CRM systems
• Provide sales forecasts and budget inputs when requested by regional management
• Support the planning and execution of industry conferences and exhibitions
• Actively participate in all Safety, Health, and Environment initiatives and promote a strong safety culture
Experience & Qualifications
Required Experience
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in completions technologies
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a technical sales or customer-facing commercial role with a proven sales track record
• Strong technical knowledge of completion systems, including:
o ICD & Sand control
o Multi-stage Frac Completions
o Liner Hangers Systems
o Open-hole and cased-hole completions technologies
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical solutions into clear commercial value for customers
