The ideal candidate for this role will lead Middleware Integration stream as part of the Data Localization Program, owning the design, delivery, and governance of enterprise-wide integration and API platforms. This role is critical to enabling seamless connectivity across core banking, digital channels, data platforms, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute the bank-wide middleware and API integration strategy Lead design and delivery of integrations using ESB, API Gateways, and messaging platforms (Kafka, Rabbit MQ, IBM MQ) Establish integration design standards, templates, and API-first principles Coordinate integration design across multiple vendors and implementation teams Ensure alignment of vendor solutions with business journeys and customer requirements Drive CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices for integration components Ensure compliance with Open Banking standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements Oversee SIT, UAT, performance testing, and go-live readiness Manage vendors, SLAs, delivery quality, and stakeholder communications Own project planning, delivery control, governance, and status reporting
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in middleware and integration within banking or financial services Strong hands-on expertise with REST/SOAP APIs, ESB platforms, microservices, and messaging middleware Experience with event-driven architectures, streaming platforms (Kafka), and enterprise messaging Exposure to cloud-native integration, Kubernetes, and containerized environments Knowledge of security standards (OAuth2, OIDC, TLS) and regulatory compliance Strong stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional leadership skills Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
