Brief Description: The GIS and Database Administrator plays a vital role in managing and optimizing geographic information system (GIS) data. This position involves working with acquired GIS data and procuring new data while collaborating closely with the Survey and Strategy teams to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.

Purpose of Role and Tasks: The primary responsibilities include maintaining the GIS database, analyzing spatial data, and supporting various projects within the mining or construction sectors. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to enhance data-driven decision-making and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics. Skills and Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the mining or construction industry, with a strong foundation in GIS and database management. Personal Attributes: The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Other Attributes Required: Desirable qualifications include a Drone Pilot License along with experience in drone operation and management. Familiarity with artificial intelligence applications and industry-standard software such as Arc Map Pro or CAD is a plus. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication.
