About the Job
An opportunity has arisen for Steward Supervisor – Stewarding to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Supervise and coordinate stewarding operations across all shifts to ensure smooth daily workflow and service continuity.
Ensure all kitchen and Food & Beverage back-of-house areas consistently meet prescribed cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, SOPs, Health & Safety, and environmental regulations.
Lead, guide, and support Team Leaders and stewarding colleagues to achieve departmental objectives and service excellence.
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for stewarding equipment in collaboration with the Engineering Department.
Oversee the proper and safe use of stewarding machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Control operational costs through effective breakage control, loss prevention, and economical use of chemicals and supplies.
Review inventory levels, maintain par stocks, and approve cleaning supplies and chemical requisitions before escalation.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Stewarding operations within a hotel or hospitality environment.
Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is required.
Strong knowledge of stewarding operations, equipment handling, hygiene standards, and back-of-house processes.
