About the Job


An opportunity has arisen for Steward Supervisor Stewarding to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar


The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Supervise and coordinate stewarding operations across all shifts to ensure smooth daily workflow and service continuity.


  • Ensure all kitchen and Food & Beverage back-of-house areas consistently meet prescribed cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards.


  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, SOPs, Health & Safety, and environmental regulations.


  • Lead, guide, and support Team Leaders and stewarding colleagues to achieve departmental objectives and service excellence.


  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for stewarding equipment in collaboration with the Engineering Department.


  • Oversee the proper and safe use of stewarding machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.


  • Control operational costs through effective breakage control, loss prevention, and economical use of chemicals and supplies.


  • Review inventory levels, maintain par stocks, and approve cleaning supplies and chemical requisitions before escalation.


About You


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Stewarding operations within a hotel or hospitality environment.


  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is required.


  • Strong knowledge of stewarding operations, equipment handling, hygiene standards, and back-of-house processes.
