Job DescriptionOverview

The Bridge Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of bridges. The role requires strong technical expertise, structural analysis skills, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with engineering standards.


Your role
  • Design and develop structural plans for bridges in road and highway projects.
  • Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and structural analysis.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate bridge designs into overall infrastructure plans.
  • Supervise construction activities, ensuring quality control and adherence to design specifications.
  • Perform load calculations, stress analysis, and material selection for bridge structures.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance assessments of existing bridges.
  • Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues during project execution.
About you
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of bridge design principles, structural analysis, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or similar tools.
  • Experience in road and infrastructure projects involving bridge construction.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of materials engineering and modern construction techniques.
