To supervise the performance of on-site inspections, monitors vendors’ inspection, records factory performance tests, reviews test results, audits activities and quality systems at manufacturers’ plants in order to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Schedules project inspection and testing requirements to implement all the above activities.

Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
Day- to-day operations
- Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the inspection and corrosion department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
Project and Contract Management
- Undertakes project/contract assignments as directed by Quality Assurance & Control Section Supervisor or Superintendent – I&C Division
- Reviews project quality documents e.g. Project Quality Plans, purchase requisitions, Third Party Inspection Reports (TPI), purchase orders, inspection and test plans, inspection and test procedures and vendor assessments to meet company objectives
- Ensures that the work is carried out in compliance with applicable project specifications, company standards and relevant international codes and standards
- Ensures project quality codes are complied with and maintained
- Provides technical support to Project Design and Construction Department to resolve Project issues and problems
- Participates in project meetings to address Contract Quality Assurance and Control and Inspection requirements
- Maintains up to date knowledge on the schedules of all projects, analysis of the work volume of all projects to determine the numbers of inspectors and their mobilization requirements for each project by discipline
Quality Assurance and Control
- Attends pre-construction, pre-inspection, QA/QC coordination meetings as needed and addresses the company technical requirements to be fulfilled in order to finalise the inspection grades for all activities
- Reviews QA/QC Plans, Purchase Orders, Requisitions, Product Specifications and all related QA/QC documents with the assistance of inspectors to provide comments or advice prior to their approval
Inspection Activities
- Controls and coordinates all inspection and test activities both within and out of the Kingdom liaising directly with all third parties, contractors, manufacturers and vendors
- Coordinates inspection activities between the company, supplier and third party inspection agency to ensure material purchased comply with company requirements
- Provides work allocation plans for inspectors at the section level based on contractors, plans, schedules to effectively utilize the work force of inspectors
Engineering Standards and Practices
- Stays abreast of the latest developments e.g. equipment inspection, engineering standards, codes, practices, procedures, methods and inspection equipment as and when applicable
Reporting
- Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards
- Issues punch lists with the advice of electrical inspectors based on the Inspection reports and subsequent follow up until their clearance in order to ensure that the inspection records are complied and maintained
Training and Development
- Trains inspection personnel and conducts training sessions to groups of personnel in the organization
- Ensures adequately trained and certified personnel are available to meet the workload
- Validates the qualifications of the contractor’s QA/QC personnel in order to ensure that adequately trained and certified personnel are available to meet the workload
