To provide division personnel with technical advice and support to facilitate smooth purchasing of equipment, maintenance parts and other industrial materials by translating material requirements of end users into tender/purchase document in more precise technical language in order to prevent incidental misconception between end user departments, bidder/suppliers, and original manufacturers

Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
Day- to-day operations
- Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the Purchasing division to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
Bids and Tenders
- Prepares bid evaluation sheets for user-side evaluation by selecting information supplied by bidders, checking formality and completeness of bids, interpreting technical terms and obtaining supplemental information and other technical details from bidders if necessary in order to ensure that all company requirements are met
- Prepares application for tender issuance to ensure that it is based and follows the tender strategy in order to submit to immediate supervisor for final review and approval
Material Specifications
- Checks, reviews and corrects material procurement specifications indicated on PRs to sort out based on categorized tender in order to ensure that all details follows specific standards as set by Materials Department
- Analyses materials requirements and other terms expressed in purchase requisitions to formulate optimal strategy to get through the competitive tender system imposed by authorities by taking into account purchasing policy targets
Purchase Orders
- Reviews Purchase Orders after re-editing of specifications in accordance with changes and modifications made in the final offer by successful bidder in order to send to supervisor for authorisation and further dispatch to successful bidder
Reporting
- Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards
Safety, Health & Environment
- Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
