To procure new tenders for services to fulfil contract objectives. Modifies existing contracts in order to take cognisance of changes. Contributes to the preparation of Business Plans. Monitors the mobilisation of contracts.

Skills

Policies, Processes and Procedures


-              Follows all relevant section policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner


Day- to-day operations


-              Follows the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the Contracts Administration  section to ensure continuity of work


Procurement of Tenders


-              Collects information from divisions concerned to determine the scope of work


-              Prepares contracts estimates and the Authorisation for Contracts     (AFC) in accord with the KJO processes


Modifications of existing contracts


-              Collects information from division to determine requirements for modifications and prepares amendments of agreements based on approved modifications


-              Follows up with CPD for endorsement of budgets & CTD for JTC & JOC approval


Contracts Oversight


-              Follows up with contractors for progress of mobilisation (manpower, equipment and materials)


-              Oversees contractors progress on project and prepares progress reports to document work done


-              Coordinates with contractor to resolve any issues that arise to ensure a smooth working relationship


-              Submits contractor invoices for approval and payment


Business and Operational plans


-              Participates in the business planning process by reviewing submittals of various Divisions for contracts.


-              Assists in the preparation of action plans for the first year operational plan of the five  year planning process


Reporting


-              Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards


-              Prepares reports for tender and existing contracts status to keep Management up-to-date


Safety, Health & Environment


-              Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
