Job Details

We are looking for a talented and skilled Stores Supervisor to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. Stores Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the plant’s storage facilities. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient stock control, coordinating with other departments, and leading the stores team to support uninterrupted production and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all receipts, records, issues, and stocks of spares & consumables.
  • Lead the team of Stores staff & provide them guidance to ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all inventory movements and adherence to  management policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and standard operating procedures within the stores area.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, production, and finance teams to ensure timely
  • Conduct regular physical verification of inventory, investigate discrepancies, and report variances to management.
  • Optimize storage space and ensure proper stacking and segregation of materials according
  • Generate and circulate daily, monthly, and ad-hoc inventory and consumption reports to management.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control processes, including stock rotation and timely stock adjustments using ERP/SAP systems.
  • Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed and foster a safety-first culture within the stores team.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support audits and compliance checks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of comprehensive supply chain experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to stores or warehouse management, preferably in a steel plant or heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Specialization or Diploma in a relevant field such as Material management & Supply Chain would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, materials handling, and ERP/SAP systems.
  • Good communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Familiarity with safety, quality, and compliance standards relevant to steel plant operations.
  • Experience in liaising with procurement, logistics, and production departments.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, resource optimization, and staff development.
