## Job Purpose/Objective
## Key Accountabilities
1. Promote and adhere to IMI Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Policies.
2. Ensure that all mechanical activities onboard are executed meticulously and effectively.
3. Receive and follow instructions from the Mechanical Foreman or Supervisor regarding work priorities.
4. Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work meets required quality standards and complies with regulatory requirements.
5. Maintain effective and consistent communication with the Mechanical Foreman or Supervisor as necessary.
6. Perform additional relevant tasks as requested by the Mechanical Foreman or Supervisor.
- Mechanical or marine-related qualifications or relevant experience.
- Proven experience working in a heavy machinery or mechanical workshop and onboard in a reputable major shipyard at an equivalent level.
**Competency (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)**
- In-depth understanding of mechanical jobs and best practices related to ships and rigs.
- Familiarity with various winches, deck machinery, cranes, hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other mechanical and rotating components.
- Knowledge of overhauling methods and processes.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Sound knowledge of tools, equipment, consumables, and spare parts.
- Physically fit and able to work in extreme climatic conditions.
**Experience**
- At least 2 years of experience in reputable large shipyards, with proven hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of deck machinery, heat exchangers, cranes, basic hydraulic systems, and general mechanical work.
**Languages**
- Basic communication skills (oral) in English.
