About the job MECHANICAL BIM MODELER
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage 3D BIM models for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and pumping systems.
- Coordinate mechanical models with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to ensure clash-free designs.
- Prepare construction drawings, schematics, and schedules directly from BIM models for fabrication and site installation.
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks or similar tools and support resolution of design conflicts.
- Participate in coordination workshops, design reviews, and interface meetings with engineering, construction, and client teams.
- Ensure mechanical models comply with project BIM standards, LOD requirements, and BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Maintain proper version control and documentation of all models and deliverables.
- Support constructability reviews and provide technical input during design and pre-construction phases.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in mechanical BIM modeling.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and pumping systems.
- Experience in multi-discipline coordination for infrastructure or building projects.
- Familiarity with BIM standards (ISO 19650), BEP, and collaboration workflows.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary project teams.
- GCC project experience is an advantage.
