About the job MECHANICAL BIM MODELER

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and manage 3D BIM models for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and pumping systems.
  • Coordinate mechanical models with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to ensure clash-free designs.
  • Prepare construction drawings, schematics, and schedules directly from BIM models for fabrication and site installation.
  • Perform clash detection using Navisworks or similar tools and support resolution of design conflicts.
  • Participate in coordination workshops, design reviews, and interface meetings with engineering, construction, and client teams.
  • Ensure mechanical models comply with project BIM standards, LOD requirements, and BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Maintain proper version control and documentation of all models and deliverables.
  • Support constructability reviews and provide technical input during design and pre-construction phases.

Key Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in mechanical BIM modeling.
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and pumping systems.
  • Experience in multi-discipline coordination for infrastructure or building projects.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards (ISO 19650), BEP, and collaboration workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • GCC project experience is an advantage.
