About the Job


An opportunity has arisen for BMS TechnicianEngineering to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar


The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Support daily engineering and maintenance operations by ensuring the effective operation of the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Install, program, configure, and troubleshoot BMS-related hardware and software based on approved points lists, wiring diagrams, and operational requirements.
  • Carry out commissioning and testing of BMS software, controllers, sensors, and field devices both onsite and remotely.
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and troubleshooting of BMS installations to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Design, assemble, wire, and test control panels, ensuring full functionality and compliance with safety and engineering standards.
  • Integrate BMS and REMS with IT infrastructure by configuring network settings and industry-standard protocols such as BACnet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP.
  • Monitor system performance, alarms, and trends to support energy efficiency and operational optimization.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, backups, drawings, and system records.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards, Fire & Life Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations.
  • Keep technical knowledge, training, and skills up to date with the latest industry developments.

About You


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • Diploma in Industrial Automation, Electrical & Electronics, Controls, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar BMS or automation role.
  • Familiarity with major BMS platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Distech, or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of BMS communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, and TCP/IP networks.
  • Good Computer Skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering-related applications.
