About the Role:The Technician will support the Maintenance department in operating, maintaining, and ensuring the safety of systems and equipment in the cold store, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities Assist the Maintenance department in the maintenance of equipment and systems. Perform advanced maintenance work on systems and components. Support in maintaining minimum stock levels of gases and spare parts. Carry out all preventive maintenance activities as per the approved maintenance schedule. Follow all standard operating procedures and protocols while performing duties. Report any defects, wear, or damage of equipment to senior staff. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and malfunctions. Comply with all safety policies and procedures. Working Environment Hands-on technical role involving refrigeration systems, gases, and related equipment. Work environment includes cold storage areas. Communication & Relationships Internal coordination with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance team.
Qualifications & Experience Diploma in Engineering.1–3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
Skills:Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, air conditioning, and air handling units. Good understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and devices. Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment. Knowledge of electronics and control systems related to refrigeration. Understanding of materials, components, and spare parts used in maintenance work.
