Role:

The Jetties Manager is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of all jetties within their designated scope. This includes overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring the maintenance of jetty infrastructure, and providing exceptional service to marina/Jetty guests and yacht / boat owners. 

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the daily operational Management including including vessel berthing, fueling, utilities, waste disposal, and security.
• Ensure compliance with RSG and international best practice safety regulations and environmental standards
• Develop, Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all activities within the Jetty operations.
• Manage and resolve inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Staff Management - Lead, train, and supervise the team of dockhands to ensure all operational KPI’s are met.
• Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
• Foster a positive and collaborative multi cultural work environment
• Maintenance & Repair Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for jetty infrastructure, including docks, pilings, anchoring systems, electrical systems, and water supply and safety equipment.
• Oversee the timely execution of repairs and maintenance projects.
• Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers.
• Health & Security, Environmental and Emergency Response: Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols for all jetty operations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and drills, evaluating responses and retraining as required.
• Reporting & Administration - Prepare and submit regular reports on jetty operations, maintenance activities, environmental requirements and performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate records of jetty usage, checklists, maintenance faults and rectification logs, and incident reports.
• Perform regular risk assessments and implement mitigation under management approval.
• Communication via VHF with vessels if required, strong marine vocabulary required.
