Job Description
To prepare & support Coastal Contracting Company - Landscape with Contract/ Purchase supplies; by identifying prospective suppliers, evaluating their offering against key business criteria and the required product specifications, and negotiating purchase agreements.
Job Responsibilities
Procurement Management
- Administer overall purchasing processes and drive standards, automation and outsourcing where applicable to gain efficiency throughout Coastal Contracting Company – Landscape.
- Carry out prequalification of prospective bidders.
- Prepare tender documents, agreements and contract terms required in the process in line with applicable Delegation of Authority requirements.
- Evaluate tender proposals to select and appoint suitable consultants/contractors through the tender process.
- Compile and review contract documents prior to execution.
Vendor Management
- Direct all aspects of vendor relationship management with critical suppliers, partners and third parties in order to effectively manage and negotiate with the supply side, to build effective long-term supply contracts and to extract the best value for Coastal Contracting Company - Landscape.
- Evaluate the suppliers on their performance on the assignments and update the preferred vendor list and maintain relationships with the preferred suppliers, while taking follow up actions with the service providers with unsatisfactory performance.
- Supervise the continuous review of pending orders with the vendors that have met or overrun their original delivery date in order to avoid shortage.
Policies & Procedures
Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies and standards.

Position Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a relevant procurement role, preferably with a Design / Construction background
- Preferably have an Engineering Degree, or Business Administration degree with relevant experience in the Design / Construction industry
