Job Description
A Mechanical Engineer ensures successful projects delivery. This includes review of the design of the Infrastructure, HVAC and Public Health systems carried out by various designers, supervising the work of the design engineers, coordinating the Employer/Project requirements, checking compliance with Codes/Standards, good engineering practices, detailed design documentation, administration of the design work and ensuring timely delivery.
Job Responsibilities
Functional
- Contribute to successful project completion by providing necessary expert technical advice in accordance with the project requirements, time and quality.
- Lead the coordination process with other senior team leaders/designers/end users for successful delivery of the project.
- Review and check specifications, reports and drawings to ensure quality of design and output.
- Assess if targets are achieved and determine where improvements could be made to increase efficiency.
- Responsible for checking the design activities of complete Mechanical systems including HVAC, Public Health, Fire Protection, Gas Systems, BMS and Energy Management systems as assigned and ensure the deliverables for completeness, quality and compliance to project requirements.
- Responsible for technical analysis and resolution of engineering problems.
- Review of major material submittals, RFIs, Shop Drawings Etc.
- Ensure Testing, Commissioning and Training is carried out as per best practices and documented.
- Ensure project documentation including close out documents are delivered.

- Maintain and develop End User and Authority relationship.
- Contributes to client/end user satisfaction through being responsive in a timely and effective manner and achieve the Vision of the project.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies and standards.
Safety, Quality and Environment
Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the department's systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Internal: C3 Group as applicable
External: Suppliers / Subcontractors as applicable, Operator / End User as applicable, Auditors
Position Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (B.Eng. or B.Sc.) as a minimum.
- Professional Membership in ASHRAE/CIBSE/ASME
- LEED or BREEM accredited.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in design and project administration of large-scale projects within the consulting industry with specific experience in the Middle East.
Skills
- Sound knowledge of design softwares (HAP, Revit, CAD etc.).
- Proficient in knowledge of design, calculations and engineering procedures for MEP systems.
- Quality oriented.
- Planning of projects and time management.
- Sound Knowledge of various codes and standards.
- Leadership experience in delivery of large buildings specifically in Hospitality and Residential developments.
- Aptitude to lead, manage and direct.
- Background experience in a Design Engineer Role.
- Experience in Mechanical design of buildings (from execution to closure) and have worked on diverse project of different types (residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, etc...).
- Well versed in Authority approval processes.
- Experienced in design and delivery of sustainable buildings.
- Must be willing to work in Project /Site environment.
