Job Scope: Procurement Officer plays a vital role in managing the purchasing activities of an organization. Responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Educations and Certificates: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain management, or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in the Healthcare Sector or a related field, with a proven track record of success in procurement. Strong on negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with procurement software and tools. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is a plus SKILLS AND PORFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE Procurement Strategies: Understanding and developing effective procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes, minimize costs, and enhance overall efficiency. Supplier Management: Knowledge of sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, and delivery speed. Ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Contract Negotiation: Proficiency in negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions that benefit the organization. Compliance and Regulations: Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Market Analysis: Ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and assess market conditions to make informed procurement decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities. Procurement Software: Proficiency in using procurement software and tools to streamline purchasing processes, manage supplier relationships, and track procurement activities. Cost Management: Knowledge of cost analysis techniques, budgeting, and financial principles to identify cost-saving opportunities, implement cost reduction initiatives, and contribute to the organization's financial objectives. LANGUAGE Proficiency in written, read and spoken Arabic and English languages ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to) GENERAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES Monthly planning. Follow up for Team execution for their plans. Leading & executing all needed plans. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery speed. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure advantageous terms. Monitor supplier performance and address issues as they arise. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide support and guidance. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives. Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to improve procurement processes.
