Key Responsibilities – Resident Engineer

• Oversee and supervise on-site construction activities to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
• Act as the primary on-site representative of the engineering consultant, coordinating between the client, contractors, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and report any delays, risks, or deviations to project management.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Review and provide technical input on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests related to civil, structural, and MEP works.
• Ensure that construction activities comply with relevant local regulations and recognized international standards.
• Identify technical issues on site, propose practical engineering solutions, and support timely decision-making.
• Coordinate with structural and MEP teams to ensure proper integration and coordination of multidisciplinary works.
• Verify that corrective actions are implemented for non-conforming works and follow up until closure.
• Prepare and submit regular site progress reports, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
• Participate in project meetings, site coordination meetings, and technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Support project close-out activities, including inspections, snag lists, and handover documentation.
• Maintain proper records of site activities, approvals, and correspondence in accordance with company procedures.

Skills

Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering and project supervision

Project management and planning abilities

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Knowledge of relevant international standards and regulations

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

Structural and MEP supervision skills

Full package salary: 10,000 – 12,000 SAR per month
