Key Responsibilities

 

Ensure compliance with national and international Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations and standards across airport construction projects.

 

Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures and site-specific safety plans.

 

Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses, and prepare emergency response plans.

 

Investigate incidents, near-misses, and occupational accidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive measures.

 

Monitor and enforce HSE compliance of contractors and subcontractors on site.

 

Deliver HSE training and awareness sessions to project teams and workers.

 

Maintain and update all HSE documentation, reports, and records throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Coordinate with project management, consultants, and relevant authorities regarding HSE requirements.

 


Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.

 

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Health & Safety, preferably within large-scale construction and/or infrastructure projects.

 

Strong knowledge of international HSE standards (OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, etc.).

 

Background in mechanical or electrical inspection with the ability to assess technical compliance and safety aspects.

 

Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is an advantage.

 

Excellent command of English (written and spoken).

 

Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

 

Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to site conditions.

 

 

Preferred Competencies

 

Previous experience in airport or aviation-related projects.

 

Certified in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Emergency Response.

 

Ability to work in multicultural environments and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
