Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement cost management strategies for MEP projects, ensuring project goals are met using advanced software tools.
  2. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets by analyzing project specifications and drawings for accurate financial forecasts.
  3. Monitor project expenditures and address variances promptly to maintain financial control and project profitability.
  4. Conduct site visits to assess progress and quality of work, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  5. Collaborate with engineers and contractors to resolve cost-related issues and recommend cost-saving measures.
  6. Lead negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms for project delivery.
  7. Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, providing insights based on cost analysis.
  8. Mentor junior quantity surveyors, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and integrate innovative cost management techniques to enhance project efficiency.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically in MEP projects.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing project costs and financial data.
  • Proficient in quantity surveying software for accurate cost estimation.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for securing favorable contracts.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and contractors.
