Main Responsibility:
- Innovation and Horizon Scanning: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. Assess potential impact and applicability to improve operational efficiency.
- Project Leadership: Act as a project lead for industrial application initiatives. Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
- Architecture and Roadmap Planning: Document current architecture, design future-state architecture, and develop actionable plans for system upgrades and integrations. Maintain a technology roadmap aligned with business priorities.
- Application Enhancement and Development: Identify areas for improvement in existing industrial applications and implement enhancements. Develop new routines or modules to meet operational and business requirements.
- System Analysis and Optimization: Perform advanced analysis to recommend improvements in application performance, reliability, and scalability. Design and maintain databases and data dictionaries supporting industrial applications.
- Lead Maintenance and Support: Oversee and manage the maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of all industrial applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for critical systems such as AVEVA PI, APMS, Honeywell, Belsim Vali, and related platforms.
- Vendor and Upgrade Management: Coordinate with vendors for system upgrades, patches, and conversions. Ensure smooth transitions with minimal operational impact.
- Technical Expertise and Training: Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for recurring incidents and escalations. Deliver technical training and guidance to internal teams and end-users.
- Compliance and Cybersecurity: Ensure all industrial applications comply with cybersecurity standards, change control processes, and regulatory requirements. Monitor for non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
- Monitoring and Incident Management: Continuously monitor system health and user activity. Investigate and resolve performance issues, recurring incidents, and suspicious activities promptly.
- Documentation and SOPs: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user documentation, and departmental policies related to industrial applications.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Design and execute application tests to validate functionality and performance. Address software defects and ensure systems remain fully operational.
- Performance Evaluation and Reporting: Track and analyze operational metrics to evaluate system performance. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Change Management: Manage workstreams within transformation programs using structured change management methodologies to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
- End-User Support and Training: Deliver training sessions and support materials for end-users to maximize system utilization and compliance.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support organizational goals.
Minimum Qualification
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Years of Related experience: Nine (9) years of relevant experience.
