Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team for a prestigious hotels project. The ideal candidate will ensure successful project delivery through effective planning, scheduling, resource management, cost control, and adherence to quality and safety standards. The role supports the Project Manager in managing operational areas including HR, project planning, cost/time/quality control, contract administration, HSE, subcontractor management, and material procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee hotel construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to develop project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Supervise on-site activities, including manpower, materials, and equipment allocation.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Prepare and review documentation such as contracts, change orders, progress reports, and site records.
- Communicate project status and milestones with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and forecast costs.
- Propose process improvements to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and promote a strong HSE culture.
- Support implementation of HSE initiatives and participate in safety reporting, in line with company and IMS policies.
Job Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials.
- Proficiency in project management software/tools for scheduling and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
- ERP proficiency (SAP preferred) is required.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of total experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
- GCC experience (2 years) is a strong advantage.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
